While much of the material contained in the recently-released Epstein files have been redacted, one data set has its entire content blacked-out.

The US Department of Justice said material would be redacted from the files that included personally identifiable information about victims, that depicted child sexual abuse materials, that could jeopardise ongoing investigations, or showed images of death, physical abuse or injury.

Material was also withheld if it included classified national security information, and a “limited amount of information” was withheld if it involved certain privileges, such as attorney-client privilege.

One of the redacted files, entitled “Grand Jury NY,” containing 119 pages is entirely blacked out.

As reported by the New York Times, the DOJ went into federal court twice in New York seeking the release of the grand jury material, however it appears to remain redacted.

Within 15 days of the files release, the US Attorney General - Pam Bondi - is required to submit to the House and Senate Committees on the Judiciary a report listing categories of records released and withheld, and a summary of redactions made and their legal basis.

President Donald Trump has yet to comment on the files.
