The United States Ambassador to the United Nations is defending the weekend capture of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro.

Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro is due to appear in a New York courtroom after US special forces abducted him, along with his wife, Cilia Flores, during an astonishing attack on the country.

The former prime minister told ThreeNews there was a potential case against the Venezuelan leader at the International Criminal Court, but not a US court on US charges.
