Details of Jeffrey Epstein’s post-mortem have been released as part of the latest document dump in the Epstein files.

The details are contained in an FBI report titled Jeffrey Epstein Death Investigation, which included photos, and prison records for the convicted sex offender, the BBC reported.

Many of the photos included in the document are too graphic to show. Also included were images of his prison cell.

Epstein killed himself in his cell, being found dead on 10 August 2019. There is controversy around his death, with failures by the prison being highlighted previously.

Epstein’s brother Mark has disputed the finding that the death was suicide.

The report contains medical details including injuries to Epstein’s neck, and fractures to his thyroid cartilage, the BBC reported.

It says Epstein was placed on suicide watch after an incident on 23 July 2019, however he claimed his cellmate had tried to kill him.

Days before his death, Epstein told a psychologist he had “no interest in killing myself” and said he wanted to live and fight his case, the BBC reported.

The report highlights prison failures including that guards did not perform checks on Epstein at 3am and 5am, and that the surveillance cameras in his unit were not working.
