• The Republican party-led House of Representatives has voted to restrict Donald Trump’s ability to continue the war against Iran without congressional approval, in a rare rebuke to the president. The measure now goes to the Senate.

• One person is dead and dozens are injured after Kuwait said an Iranian strike extensively damaged its main airport. Iran denied responsibility for the attack.

• Israel and Lebanon agreed to renew their fragile ceasefire and create a number of “pilot” security zones inside Lebanon from which Hezbollah militants would be banned.
