Mighty Ape chief executive Gracie MacKinlay has been replaced unexpectedly by the ecommerce retailer’s chief financial officer, parent company Kogan has announced.

Australian Securities Exchange listed Kogan.com has been approached for comment.

MacKinlay’s last day was on Friday. She told The Post “all matters had been resolved” on terms which were “confidential to the parties”.

MacKinlay had worked at Mighty Ape for 12 years, working her way up from a marketing and data analyst to head of marketing and sales, and chief executive in June 2022.

“The hardest part for me is to say bye to this awesome group of people,” MacKinlay wrote on LinkedIn on Monday.

She has been replaced by former chief financial officer, Daniel Balasoglou.

Kogan.com founder and chief executive Ruslan Kogan said Daniel had “demonstrated strong leadership skills and strategic insights, qualities that we expect will drive strong results under his stewardship”.
