Not only does buying the right vessel for your preferred drink have environmental benefits, but they’ll keep your water cold, and your brew hot.

If you’ve caught yourself scrolling social media at any stage in the past few years, you’ve probably stumbled across a couple of the viral water bottles making waves ‒ like the Stanley Cup.

Seen on the arms of influencers, TikTok creators and hoards of trend-setters and followers since the oversized cup-shaped vessel became an internet sensation back in 2022. But while that particular look won’t always fit the vibe of every corporate executive’s daily sojourn between client catch-ups and boardrooms, the internet got something right ‒ we all know hydration is key if we want to be at the top of our game, right?

Whether a vessel for your morning coffee or a bottle keeping you hydrated through meetings, crucial decisions and commutes, the right bottle or cup is practical, but looks professional enough to take its place as an accessory in any professional setting.

Not only does buying the right vessel for your preferred drink have environmental benefits, but they’ll keep your water cold, and your brew hot. They’ll keep you hydrated, caffeinated and on top of your game.

I’ve scoured the options to compile a list of my personal favourite water bottles and reusable coffee cups, worthy of a spot on any executive desk.

One of the brand’s that rode that social media popularity wave, the Oregon company produces a range of reusable drinking options ‒ but, when taking style, form and function into account, I couldn’t go past the sea salt coloured, limited edition wide flex straw cap bottle.

With a lifetime warranty, the unique colouring of the bottle adds a touch of design difference to the stylish-looking bottle, capable of holding its own in any professional setting.

At almost a litre capacity, the stainless steel water bottle has double wall vacuum insulation to keep water cool for up to 24 hours.

If you’re looking for quality and sustainability with your products, Reddit’s “Buy it for life” community is well worth the occasional browse. Search for water bottle threads, and Yeti brand drink bottles are bound to pop up as a worthy purchase.

At almost 2 litres, the 46oz option is oversized, but it removes the need to stop and refil throughout the day - especially helpful if you’re rushing from place to place.

The double-wall vacuum insulation keeps your water cool, and being dishwasher-safe adds a layer of ease to the cleaning.

Australian brand Frank Green has a knack for creating water bottles that are classy yet a little funky, with a vast colour selection available to let your personality shine without going overboard.

They don’t just look smart but, says founder and owner, Benjamin Young, the bottles are triple-walled and vacuum insulated.

“This third wall is a ceramic lining proprietary to the brand that uniquely provides a thermal barrier (for either hot or cold) while also ensuring the purest taste experience,” he says.

OK, sure, I’ve already given Frank Green a spot on the list, but the reusable ceramic mug has a spot on my personal list as a future purchase, so it seemed enough to deem it worthy of a spot here, too.

With triple-wall vacuum insulation, says Young, keeps your brew hot for hours if you’re spending your day in back-to-back meetings.

Plus, if you’re the type to fire up the espresso machine in a hurry, grab-and-go before rushing out the door, pairing the mug with the award-winning push button leak proof lid, “is perfect for travelling to and from work ‒ you are able to chuck it in your bag and not have to worry about it leaking whilst you're on the go”.

The cost: From $51.99

Another personal favourite ‒ this time for its classic simplicity and sophisticated look. The see-through lid adds a touch of personality (plus the ability to see how far away you are from needing a top-up).

The Whanganui-based company’s website highlights the belief that, “sustainability, style and quality can coexist harmoniously”. While the succulent green adds a touch of colour and fun to the look, the cups are available in a range of colour options if that’s not quite you.

The Bullet cup is made from food-grade stainless steel with a double-wall design.

The cost: From $36.50

KeepCup Brew Cork 12oz

Remember when it felt like everyone owned (or wanted to own) a glass to-go coffee cup with a cork band to save the hand from the heat? Colours, materials and brands may be coming and going, but there’s something about the KeepCup reusable cup with splash proof press-on lid that simply works.

Just don’t drop it.
