Music and cocktail bar looking for new owners

A small Wellington bar that has pumped out music for more than a decade is looking for new owners.

Poquito Bar posted on social media that its owners, Judi Weir and Michael Stride, are looking to move on after 11 years of owning the venue.

The small bar on Tory St is known for its tapas menu and cocktails, as well as hosting live music performances showcasing Kiwi artists.

The post said the move was “bittersweet” for the couple who had loved being a part of their customers’ lives.,

“We are so deeply grateful for your support over the years and we will dearly cherish all the good times, live music and late night memories we have with you all.”

The bar’s last night of trade will be December 21, but The Post understands it is hoped the bar will continue under new ownership.
