Waka Kotahi NZTA has released a flyover video to show Wellingtonians what the city’s route across town could one-day look like.

The agency on Monday released detailed plans for second Mount Victoria and Terrace Tunnels, a complete overhaul of how traffic will navigate the Basin Reserve and widening of the road through Hataitai, including a completely new interchange.

The $3.8 billion project is still lacking key details – such as how much protected Town Belt land will be taken and how many years of disruption it will cause.

Twenty-eight days for public feedback is now open.
