Amelia Kerr, Kane Williamson among 5 NZers named in ICC teams of the year

Leading White Ferns allrounder Amelia Kerr has been named in both women’s teams of the year by the ICC.
Kerr was selected in the Women's ODI and T20 Teams of the Year ‒ one of five New Zealanders to earn a place in the sides decided by a specialist panel of media representatives that make up the International Cricket Council Voting Academy.
Kane Williamson was named in the Men's Test Team of the Year, Lea Tahuhu in the Women's ODI Team of the Year, Daryl Mitchell was selected in the Men's ODI Team of the Year and Mark Chapman in the Men's T20 Team of the Year.
In 2023, Kerr made 365 T20I runs at an average of 36.50 and took 12 wickets at 19.08 in 12 matches.
In the ODI arena, the legspinner and top/middle order bat made 541 runs from nine games at 67.62, while also taking eight wickets at 46.12.
Williamson scored 695 runs in just seven tests last year, including a double-century and three other tons while averaging 57.91.
