New Zealand bowler Will O'Rourke will be back in action in Bangladesh.

The Black Caps’ white-ball series in Bangladesh will be broadcast here by Sky TV.

A deal has been struck for the six white-ball matches, with the opening ODI on Friday in Mirpur starting at 5pm (NZ time).

A second-string New Zealand side without a host of frontliners who are playing the Indian Premier League and Pakistan Super League will play three ODIs and three T20 internationals versus the hosts until May 2.

Left-arm seamer Ben Lister has been called into the Black Caps squad for the tour after allrounder Kristian Clarke was ruled out through injury.

Clarke suffered a split webbing to his right hand while attempting a catch in the second one-day game for New Zealand A against Sri Lanka A in Sri Lanka last week.

Fast bowler Ben Sears will miss the ODI matches after being signed as an overseas replacement by Rawalpindiz in the Pakistan Super League. It's understood he will likely be available from the second T20I.

The tour will see the return from lengthy injuries of pace bowlers Will O’Rourke, Matt Fisher and Blair Tickner.

The timings of the matches have been brought forward to support Bangladesh's energy-saving initiatives amid the global fuel crisis.

It’s understood Sky TV are still in negotiations over covering New Zealand’s three-test series against England in June, which will be preceded by a four-day test versus Ireland.
