Rugby fans took advantage of breakfast - and for some a bit of dutch courage - as Christchurch venues threw open their doors for Saturday’s Rugby World Cup semi-final clash between the All Blacks and Argentina.

“Breakfast and bar” were available for customers at Bailies Bar (pictured), who cheered on the All Blacks’ 6-44 win over Argentina.

Bailies, in Edgeware Village, will open again next Sunday at 7.30am for the final against South Africa.

Bars and venues are expecting a “jam-packed” morning for the 8am final, with fans advised to check if they need to book ahead.

Other businesses opening their doors next Sunday morning include Dux Central, The Fitz 2 Sports Bar and The Bealey Quarter.
