Selwyn MP Nicola Grigg has baby boy

Nicola Grigg will take parental leave after the birth of her son, Geordie.

Selwyn MP Nicola Grigg and her partner have welcomed a son, Geordie, born at the end of December.

Grigg is Minister of State for Trade, Minister for Women, and Associate Minister of Agriculture in the National-led Government and lives in Prebbleton on the outskirts of Christchurch.

She announced the birth on her Facebook page on Monday, where she also thanked the staff at the Rolleston birthing unit, and said she would be on parental leave for “a couple of months”.

Geordie is her first child.
