Dog attack sends person to medical centre

A person was taken to a local medical centre in a moderate condition after a dog attack in Burnside on Saturday evening.

Emergency services were called to the scene at 5pm following reports of the attack on Guildford St. Hato Hone St John responded and assessed the patient, who sustained moderate injuries.

The patient was then transported to a local medical centre. Animal control has been notified and is investigating the incident.

Christchurch City Council have been approached for comment.
