$20m Powerball rolls over as six Lotto players win first division prizes

Six Lotto players are celebrating first division wins, but the $20 million Powerball jackpot has rolled over.
The winners will each take home $166,667 after no ticket matched the Powerball needed to claim the top prize.
Tonight’s winning numbers are 17, 15, 2, 26, 30, and 18. The bonus ball was 28 and the Powerball was 9.
Although Powerball was not struck, one person has netted a second division prize of $50,323.
Tonight’s prize would have been the second-biggest Powerball win this year, after a single ticket bought in Ashburton won an eye-watering $28.2m early last month.
Some of the largest Lotto Powerball wins so far this year include a $14.3m ticket won by a MyLotto player from New Plymouth on April 15 and a $25.5m prize that was split between two players in late March.
Each person took home $12.75m. Their prize included a $250,000 bonus win in Lotto First Division from the same draw.
Strike Four also has a large prize on offer, after it rolled over on Wednesday’s Lotto draw. A total of $700,000 is the Strike Four golden prize tonight.
Although unlucky for some, Wednesday’s draw resulted in a windfall for the small Waikato town of Huntly, where four tickets worth $250,000 in Lotto First Division were sold at a local book shop.
The four lucky tickets were sold at The Bookshop and Lotto in Huntly. It is not known whether the four tickets were sold to one person or if the tickets went to four different people.
Lotto NZ is currently promoting its Mid-Year Millionaire promotion, when three extra prizes of $1m can be won. All Triple Dip tickets bought between Sunday, June 21, and 7.30pm today will be in the draw with a chance to win.
