Train services delayed and cancelled on Auckland's southern and eastern lines

Auckland train commuters may have a tough time getting to work on Tuesday morning, after an overhead line problem left services disrupted.
Trains on the southern line were delayed by a line fault between Papakura and Ōtāhuhu, and Auckland Transport advised services on the eastern line were only operating between Britomart and Sylvia Park.
Power was restored about 7am, however services would operate to a 20 minute frequency until normal service resumed.
Meanwhile, a fatal crash between a pedestrian and truck is causing delays on Great South Rd in Manurewa, where the road is closed between Mahia Rd and Myers Rd near the SH1 Takanini interchange.
