Crowd gets aggressive, as fights break out at Travis Scott’s Auckland show.

Videos showed audience members fighting in the stand and in the general admission area.

The concert could be heard across Auckland, with many claiming it to be one of the loudest ever held at Eden Park.

US rapper Travis Scott’s sold out Auckland show turned into an episode of fight night on Wednesday, with multiple fights and brawls erupting among the Eden Park crowd, hours before the musician took the stage.

Videos have emerged on social media of audience members fighting, both in the stand and in the general admission area, with concert goers even forming fight pits.

In one video, one man can be seen repeatedly punching another audience member while a woman attempts to stop him.

In multiple other videos, teenagers were seen throwing punches at each other while onlookers watched and filmed on their phones.

During one incident, an audience member is even picked up and thrown to the ground on his back.

Police told Stuff the mood of the crowd was reported as being good and there were no arrests or complaints.

Reports of bad behaviour in the crowd has plagued Scott’s tour down under. Just last week, his Sydney show was marred by reports of broken barricades, trampling, and fights, with five people needing hospitalisation.

The Auckland show, which had been put back a week, was also turning heads outside the venue, with people taking to social media to comment on the sound level.

One person posted on X (formerly Twitter) saying that it was the loudest Eden Park concert ever.

Meanwhile, another person said they could hear it in Birkenhead, saying it reminded them of a ZZ Top concert at Western Springs Stadium in the 1980s, which was heard as far away as Waiheke Island.

Wednesday night's concert, which was attended by 50,000 people, was the first time Scott had played in New Zealand after cancelling a show in 2016.

Scott came under fire in 2021 after a crowd crush at his Astroworld Festival left 10 people dead and hundreds injured.

Eden Park and Live Nation have been approached for comment.
