Friendly dog causes traffic chaos

First up; don't worry, the dog makes it out of this one totally unscathed. And with a new friend as well.

In this video shared by Reddit user AristonD, a dog is shown wandering in a completely unconcerned fashion on a busy road as cars slow and stop to avoid it.

One good samaritan jumps out of his van to gather the dog up to safety and is greeted in a very friendly fashion, as the dog appears more than happy to be picked up and carried off the road.

And is just in time too, as a massive 18-wheeler bears down on the rows of stationary traffic, completely oblivious to, well, everything really.

What happens next is carnage, as the truck manages to scatter both lanes of cars but, somehow misses the man and, most importantly, the friendly dog who is now happily in the very lucky man's arms.

After the fact, both the dog and the men in the van make a quick retreat.

Yet another example of how paying attention on the roads is vital. And how dogs are pretty much just good-natured hairy idiots that we love anyway.
