Search to resume for teenager swept into the sea at Raglan

The search for a teenager swept off rocks near Raglan on Saturday will resume on Sunday morning.

The 17-year-old male was swept away at Papanui Point about 1.30pm on Saturday. He was in the area with three others.

Searchers - including police search and rescue, Coastguard air patrol and the Raglan Surf Club - will focus on each side of Papanui Point, police said.

The search was timed to coincide with the tide.
