Man dies in workplace accident in Nelson

A man has died in a workplace incident at an industrial business in Pascoe St, Nelson.

Police said in a statement that emergency services responded to the workplace incident about 11am on Monday.

A man was injured and died at the scene.

Police said enquiries were ongoing, and WorkSafe had been notified.

WorkSafe confirmed in a statement that it had opened an investigation into the death.

It could not provide further information while the investigation was ongoing.
