Stuff’s mission is focused on delivering trusted storytelling and experiences that make Aotearoa a better place. The latest version of our app is all about the experiences aspect of that pursuit - ensuring that Kiwis can quickly and seamlessly get the news and content they need to keep informed and thriving each day.

Earlier this year we relaunched all our products on world-class, new technology. The best thing about that innovative technology is how quickly we can introduce features and updates based on what our audience and clients need and love.

So with that front of mind, we’re thrilled to tell you about the much-loved gestures experience that makes swiping through the news super smooth on our apps.

What’s new?

You can now swipe left and right between articles in the Stuff app. You can do this from a section - for example if you visit the sport section you can click on an article and then swipe through all our sports stories - or from the homepage, just click on a story and work your way through our top content and modules.

What else is cool on the app?

We’re so glad you asked. A lot! You can customise your app via settings in the main menu on the left. You’ll find options to change the font size to whatever you fancy and you can manage push notifications for our top stories and popular topics such as politics and sport.

You can log in to manage your subscriptions to our awesome email newsletters as well as your newspaper subscription if you have one. Logging in also gives you access to our incredibly popular quizzes and puzzles, and will help us to deliver a more personalised experience for you.

Where are comments on the app?

If you’re an iOS user you’ll be delighted to know that comments will be back on the app very soon. For now, keep visiting stuff.co.nz to take part in our conversations.
