The numbers have been drawn for Lotto’s biggest prize of 2025.

Lotto’s huge jackpot will grow again, with no one winning the massive $40 million prize.

Saturday’s numbers were 13, 24, 28, 4, 22 and 2. The bonus ball was 35 and the Powerball 8.

Saturday’s jackpot was the biggest so far in 2025.

While no one scooped the $40 million, six people split Lotto Division 1, each taking home $166,667.

On Wednesday, the jackpot will be $45 million.

“It’s now the highest it’s been since August last year when an Auckland family scored themselves $44.67 million – the biggest ever Powerball prize won on a single ticket,” Lotto NZ spokesperson Will Hine said.

Acknowledging that high jackpots were exciting, Hine urged players to play responsibly.

“Big jackpots still have small odds, and one ticket is enough to be in the draw.”

What would you do?

On Friday, we asked Stuff readers what they’d spend the money on should they find themselves holding the winning golden (yellow) ticket.

Many were generous, vowing to pledge a portion of their winnings to charity - especially those supporting animals in need.

Others said they would pay off their mortgage, as well as their family and friends’ mortgages.

Some readers delved deep into their imagination, including Daniel, who said he would: “Buy an island, make my own country, my own language, my own laws. LONG LIVE KING DANIEL OF DANIELTOPIA!”

Another said they’d buy an elephant.

Butter, mince and home improvements were also high priorities.
