Texting and driving, with an unexpected outcome

Here's a video that starts out as one thing, but finishes as a quite different thing - kind of like From Dusk Till Dawn, which starts out as an ultra-violent Tarantino fast-talking crime caper and ends up an ultra-violent Rodriguez vampire splatterfest.

This video, posted by Reddit user jmvbmw, has no unexpected vampires, but does pack a pretty good jump-scare transition between what you think will happen and what actually does happen.

It starts off with something pretty unbelievable anyway - a police officer in the USA driving his patrol car WHILE TEXTING and clearly not giving anywhere near enough attention to the road.

You might think you know what is going to happen next, but trust us - you don't.

And it is all being filmed by the cameras in his patrol car too.

Okay, so you think you know where this is going…

Then an SUV appears from nowhere, literally flying across from the other side of the road and taking him out.

I mean, even if he had been paying full attention to the road, the poor guy probably wouldn't have seen that coming. Still doesn't excuse him being such an idiot in the first place, however.

Anyway, the officer was unhurt, but clearly very rattled, and reports suggest that the occupants of the SUV suffered only light injuries.

Don't text and drive kids! And… keep an eye out for flying SUVs too, we guess?
